1577088 - Migrated Employee neither Visible in Personnel Administration nor in Organizational Structure

In the Business Configuration work center, you migrate basic employee data such as biographical data, private contact data and bank details to the system using migration tool. Then you go to the Personnel Administration work center, but you cannot see the newly uploaded employee in the list. You also find that those employees are not visible to choose when you try to assign them as Org Unit Manager.   

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center, and choose the Implementation Projects view.
2. Select your implementation project, and choose Open Activity List.
3. Navigate to the Integrate and Extend phase.
4. Under the Activity Group: Maintain Master Data, choose the Migration of Employee Data activity.
5. Choose Migrate basic employee data using the migration tool.
6. Upload the source employee data file, and then choose Execute Migration.
7. Go to the Personnel Administration work center and choose the Employees view.

You cannot find the uploaded employees in the Employees list.

As you set Personnel Administration in scope, so in order to make the migrated employees visible in the Personnel Administration work center, you have to migrate personnel administration data as well as basic data.  If you only migrate basic employee data, you cannot see these employees in the Personnel Administration work center. Meanwhile, because the Work Agreements information, such as Organizational Assignment, is not uploaded, you cannot see the employees when assigning an Org Unit Manager either.

You can migrate the personnel administration data of employees as follows:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center, and choose the Implementation Projects view.
2. Select your implementation project, and choose Open Activity List.
3. Navigate to the Integrate and Extend phase.
4. Under the Activity Group: Maintain Master Data, choose the Migration of Employee Data activity.
5. Choose Migrate personnel administration data using the migration tool.
6. Make sure all the mandatory fields are entered in the template.

After the successful migration, you should be able to see these employees in the Personnel Administration work center.
