1580284 - Business Partner Record for Company is Not Available

You have marked an org unit as a company, but cannot find the business partner record which should be automatically created from it.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common tasks.
3. Select an org unit.
4. Under the Details section, navigate to the Definitions tab.
5. Check the Company checkbox and enter the Country/Region of Registration.

Once the change is saved and activated:

1. Go to the Business Partner Data workcenter.
2. Access Business Partner view.
3. Search for the business partner using the company ID.
4. Search results shows that no records are found.

The ID of the business partner might differ from the ID of the org unit due to certain conditions (check the See Also section for more information).

In these cases, the new ID of the business partner will be taken from the General Business Partners number range.

You can check what was the new ID selected for the business partner by doing the following:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Access the Org Structures work center view.
3. Select the relevant org Unit.
4. Under the Details section, navigate to the Definitions tab.
5. The Associated Business Partner field shows the new business partner's ID and name.

Using this ID, you will be able to locate the business partner in the Business Partner Data work center.
