Symptom

  • New ODBC connections to SQL server 2008 are not available to select when creating or modifying a Universe Connection.
  • 64-bit ODBC connection cannot be used for Universe Designer or Universe Design Tool
  • When testing a universe connection in receive error:  DBD: Data source name not found and no default driver specified
