1582930 - Is it Possible to Modify the Actual Work Recorded by a Team Member in a Migarted Project?

Project Manager wants to modify the Actual Work for a team member on a task in a Migrated project after time recoding has been approved but it is not editable.

1. Go to Project management work center.
2. Select Projects view.
3. Highlight a Project and select Edit button and choose Project Plan option.
4. Go to Work sub tab.
5. For an employee, the Actual work is X hours.
6. Try changing it to Y hours but the field is not editable.

This is a normal system behavior. Editing Actual Work is only possible when the project is migrated into the ByD system and no time confirmation is approved.

Actual work is calculated internally from time confirmations in the time sheet. To avoid wrong calculated values, allowing to change the actual work after real time confirmations are approved is not possible (and the values from the task services are aggregated up the project hierarchy and to the team members and services).

If actual work should be adjusted after migration, do it before real time confirmations are created.

To be able to cope with work already confirmed before starting with ByDesign the actual work is editable in the migration mode but this is an exceptional case and should be done only once when migrating the project.

From planned and actual work the remaining work is derived. During project execution the remaining work can be entered manually if it turns out that the forecast remaining work is more or less than plan and actual work.
