Symptom
When creating snapshot for a payroll run, you may find the error message in Payroll Process Data for an employee:
Error Location: Time Administration
Error Description: No average values for working time maintained in time profile
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Payroll Processing work center.
- Select the Payroll Run view.
- Select the Payroll Group.
- Select the View Payroll Process Data link under Further Links.
- Go to the Employee Data tab.
- Select the employee XYZ, the above error message is shown.
Cause
The cause of the issue is that the start date of the employee’s time profile is later than payroll run period.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, follow the below steps:
1) In the Time File of the employee change the Start Date of time profile.
- Go to the Time Administration work center.
- Select the Employees view.
- Search and Edit the employee XYZ.
- Go to the Time Profile tab, where the Start Date should be earlier or equal to the payroll run date.
2) Update the snapshot.
- Go to the Payroll Processing work center.
- Select the Payroll Run view.
- Highligh the Payroll Group.
- Select the Update Snapshot button.
