Symptom

  • The "Time-Independent Management of Organization Units" flag is activated at the company code level under the following IMG path:
    Asset Accounting -> Master Data -> Specify Time-Independent Management of Organization Units.
  • Error message F5814 "Document type & not defined" is issued when changing business area (cost center or profit center) in asset master data via T-code AS02.
