1594117 - Error Message "On dd/mm/yyyy duration of absences 16 h exceeds planned working time 8 h" during New Leave Request

When you try to create a leave request, system throws the below error message:

On dd/mm/yyyy duration of absences 16 h exceeds planned working time 8 h.

Times with time types <XYZ> and <XYZ> collide for period DD.MM.YYYY to DD.MM.YYYY.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Home work center.
2. Select the Self Service Overview view.
3. Select the New Leave Request link under the Time section.
4. Select the date and enter all the details.
5. Select the Save button.

System throws the above error message.

The error message is caused by that you have already applied for the leave on that day and it has been approved by the manager. So it is not possible to request for the leave on the same date.

You can check your applied leaves/absences as follows:

Check Absence Overview:

1. Go to the Home work center.
2. Select the Self-Services Overview.
3. Select the View Absenses link under the Time section. 

Check Time Sheet:

1. Go to the Home work center.
2. Select the Self-Services Overview.
3. Select the Edit Time Sheet link.
4. Go to the respective date, where you can find the details of time recording, including leave.
