1596214 - How to find the latest default trace file of the NW AS Java right after reproducing an issue

Symptom

In order to analyze a Portal Error/Exception, you need to get the latest modified DefaultTrace log from this folder (immediately after reproducing the problem):
 \usr\sap\<SID>\<J2EE_instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\<server#>\log\

Sometimes the trace file you get is not the one which was written after reproducing the issue, or you are unable to identify which of the DefaultTraces in the folder is the last one which was written.
If the wrong DefaultTrace is taken, it won’t contain the relevant information for further analysis.
