1596332 - BI 4.0 - Install Patch X.yy without Support Package X

Symptom

  • You can install Patch X.yy (for instance Patch 1.3) without Support Package X ( for instance Support Package 1)
  • After the installation of Patch, it causes some known regression issues:
    • An unexpected error has occurred. (Error: RWI 00014) when scheduling webi reports or publications (refer to SAP KB 1582970)
    • Unable to initialize the page. Verify that an MDAS Server is running and that the database client software has been installed on the server hosting the MDAS Server when creating OLAP conncetion via CMC ( refer to SAP KB 1596347)
