1601098 - Relational Connection to BW From IDT Error Could not Create a CallBack

Symptom

  • A SAP NetWeaver BW Connection via SAP Java Connector (JCO) is created in the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise BI 4.x Information Design Tool.
  • When testing the connection, retrieving LOV in the Data Foundation, running a Query in the Business Layer, or retreving data in a Web Intelligence document, an exception of the following form is observed:

    Data Federator Driver][Server][Connector 'testSourceConnection1308211868699'] An error occurred while trying to ping the server: Could not generate a callback program ID (the last tested ID was 'DF_JCO_<HOSTNAME>_<NUMBER>). Delete the unused RFC destinations.

    where the <HOSTNAME> represents the host name of the machine accessing the BW.
