1605699 - Error Message: Mashup Requires API keys, While Selecting a Particular Mashup

Symptom

 

When you select a particular Mashup, it shows below error message and red indicator is displayed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Application and user management work center.
  2. Select Business Flexibility view and choose Mashup Authoring sub view. 
  3. Select a Mashup, a red indicator displayed with above error message.

Cause

 

The cause for the issue is that the API key is missing for that particular Mashup.

You need to create a unique API key from the Web service provider’s Web site and enter this API key in the ByDesign system.

Resolution

  1. Go to Application and user management work center.
  2. Select Business Flexibility view and choose Mashup Authoring sub view. 
  3. Select the Mashup and select Enter API Keys button.
  4. In the Enter API Keys dialog box, click Show API Keys and enter the key provided to you by the Web service provider in the Value column and Save your changes.
  5. Select Activate button.
