Symptom

  • How to reclaim disk space after deleting objects from a MySQL database

This can be required if a schedule creates a large number of instances within Business Objects and they are subsequently deleted.  The  files in the filestore are deleted but the space taken on disk in the CMS repository is not reclaimed in MySQL, although it will be reused if required.
