Symptom

Sapinst, the Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) or SAP Tools for SQL Server fail with a database-related error. You find errors similar to

MDB-05053  Errors when executing sql command

in sapinst.log and / or sapinst_dev.log. You need to enable further tracing of the database queries executed to find out which query is causing the error.
