1613472 - How to enable trace logging for BI 4.x Web applications

Symptom

  • You would like to enable trace logging for your Web applications (webapps) such as CMC, BI launchpad, open document, web services, etc, in the BI40 platform
  • ATTN 4.3 users!!! To enable web application tracing on Fiori (Fiori replaces Bilaunchpad on 4.3 and above, and in some cases is even used on 4.2) use KBA 3076470 
  • If tracing the BI mobile application, please see KBA 1749043.
