Symptom

  • When installing SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0 with SAP MaxDB as CMS database the following error appears:
    Error: MaxDB error found: ErrorCode(-4000) Error message: POS(1) Unknown user name/password combination SQlState: 28000 when installing SAP BI4 with MaxDB as CMS database#
  • The same error appears when trying to change the CMS database from a non-MaxDB database to SAP MaxDB
