When you try to find an employee in his/her org unit, you find that employee is not displayed in the Employees tab of the org unit.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Organizational Management work center.
- Find the respective org unit.
- Go to the Employees tab.
Where the employee is not displayed.
Cause
There are two possibilities for this issue:
- The employee might have been terminated on a past date.
- The employee might have been transferred from this org unit to other org unit on a past date.
Resolution
The system works as designed.
If the employee is transferred or terminated on a past date and if you are checking in the org unit with Effective Date after the transfer/termination date, system will not show the employee assignment in the org unit.
You can check in the Timelines tab of the org unit for the tranfer date or termination date of the employee. Then if you enter the Effective From date as on or before the transfer/termination date, you can find the employee assignment in the org unit.
