1614578 - Secure Login: “Authentication data not trusted” when using Smart Cards

Symptom

When starting a SAP Logon connection to a target system with SNC, the error message “Error in SNC” is displayed.

The target system’s developer trace shows the messages:

N  *** ERROR => SncPEstablishContext()==SNCERR_GSSAPI  [sncxxall.c 3357]
N        GSS-API(maj): Miscellaneous failure
N        GSS-API(min): Authentication data not trusted
N      Unable to establish the security context
N  <<- SncProcessInput()==SNCERR_GSSAPI
