Generally, there are 7 types of questions or scenarios regarding browser support with Web Dynpro for Java.

They are (along with the answers):

Q1. When do we plan to support newer versions of a browser?  A1

Q2. Why is the system reporting browser is not supported, and reporting this message: "Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro!"?  A2

Q3. There are many workarounds/notes already for the browser in question, we are aware of them, yet there are still issues with it.  A2

Q4. Some feature of the application do not display/work as expected with these newer browsers.  A3

Q5. Why is there a java stack exception with these newer browsers?  A4

Q6. Is Safari supported, and if so, which versions are supported? A5

Q7. Are android and iOS browsers supported with Web Dynpro for Java? A6

Please note: Since January 2016 Microsoft has stopped its support for any Internet Explorer (IE) lower than IE11.
SAP can't support a browser that isn't being supported by its manufacturer, as a result SAP doesn't support older IE either.
