1619897 - Installing SMD Agent in gui mode on AIX causes fatal error with JVM and splash screen hangs

Symptom

  • When installing the SMD Agent in GUI mode on AIX, the install fails with error "A fatal error has been detected by SAP Java Virtual Machine"
  • JVM crash report (hs_err_pid.log) reveals invalid pointer in call stack after "libX11.a::_GetStatusArea@AF11_4 + 0x3c"
