SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1620795 - Import Wizard fails with errors similar to "Failed to create a new CrystalEnterprise.Excel. Reason: File Repository Server Output is down."

Symptom

  • Migrating from Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 to XI 3.1 version
  • Administrator accounts with full rights are being used to login to both servers
  • Import Wizard fails with errors similar to "Failed to create a new CrystalEnterprise.Excel. Reason: File Repository Server Output is down."
  • After the error, Import wizard processing had to be canceled as it does not seem to progress from here
  • After about 50% of objects have been migrated, Timeout related errors can be noticed along with above errors in the Import Wizard logs
  • This issue occurred when migrating User’s Inbox/favorite documents from source to destination
  • The user's inbox contains a large number of objects or reports (Example: 3500 etc)
