1627318 - Error: "Error 1321. The installer has insufficient priviledges to modify this file"

When installing Business Objects Enterprse XI R2 SP3 on a client machine, the installer fails and  following error message is displayed:

"Error 1321. The installer has insufficient priviledges to modify this file: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\plugins\desktop\CrystalEnterprise.AdHoc\AdHoc.dll"

• Windows XP
• Business Objects Enterprise XI R2

The install user does not have the correct permissions on the AdHoc.dll file

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\plugins\desktop\CrystalEnterprise.AdHoc\
2. Open the Properties for AdHoc.dll
3. Modify the Security settings so that the install user has 'Full Control' on AdHoc.dll
