Symptom
- After specifying a remote database for storing CMS repository during installation steps the following error appears: Cannot verify database login information. [INS00104]
- During install, the product core dumps on regsvr and show various errors during this time
- The core dumps are generated by a segmentation fault
- In the /tmp/timestamp/setupengine.log the following error appears:

- This also affects Information Platform Services (IPS) or MiniBOE SP4
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.7 (GA)
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.6 with Security updates (RH5.6 GA is not affected)
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (GA)
The issue does not happen with the following glibc version
rh55:[root] > yum list installed glibc-common glibc
Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager
Updating Red Hat repositories.
