- The Crystal Reports Viewer 2008 is used to view reports
- An attempt to view a new report results in the error:
"No saved data"
Environment
Reproducing the Issue
- Download and install the Crystal Reports Viewer 2008
- Open a report that does not have saved data
Cause
- The viewer can be used to view reports, but not to modify reports
- The reports must have "Saved Data" as the viewer will not establish any database connections
Resolution
- Use the Crystal Reports designer to open reports with no data
