Symptom

  • The following error is displayed after navigating to Content Administration -> KM Content

  • Exceptions similiar to the following are written to the default.trc file during the startup sequence of the KMC -

    Error##Plain###startup failed : class="com".sapportals.wcm.repository.service.appproperties.PropertiesService, uri=crt://runtime/services/AppPropertiesGlobalService, exception: com.sapportals.wcm.crt.component.StartupException: Missing landscape service

    Error##Plain###CacheStatisticsDumpThread failed - java.lang.Exception: failed to get landscape service

    Error##Plain###failed to get system ID from landscape service - java.lang.NullPointerException
