1637539 - The decimal precision scale is not maintained for decimal columns when executing a job using BAPI - Data Services 4.0

Symptom

  • While posting SAP FI interface data from Business Objects Data Services "BODS" to SAP by calling standard BAPI - BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST, the  standard BAPI is expecting an exchange rate of decimal (9,5). Migration data is calculating the exchange rate also as decimal(9,5), however when this is passed to SAP it  is being converted/truncated after decimal places values.
  • From BODS the data produced and passed to BAPI value populate with decimal (9,5), however in SAP it was transmitted as shown in this example:
