Symptom
Filter based on Data Foundation parameter does not work.
Crystal Report created of the Business View based on the Data Foundation with the parameter does not prompt.
Reproducing the Issue
- Create two Data Connections of the same datasource
- Create a Dynamic Data Connection (DDC) of two previous Data Connections
- Create a Data Foundation (DF) based on the DDC
- Create a string static Parameter
- Set the parameter to Multiple values
- Create a filter based on the parameter using one of the string field
- Set the filter to "Is One Of" ({field} in {?Parameter})
- Create a Business Element (BE) of the DF
- Create a Business View (BV) of the BE
- Create a Crystal Reports of the BV
Notice the report does not prompt for parameter and returns 0 records.
Cause
"Is One Of" filter function should not be used with Multiple Value Parameters here.
Resolution
Use "Equal to" function for the filter. It will work fine with multiple parameters values.
