1638155 - Issues related to Inactive Personalization in BEx.

Symptom

Symptom 1.

Following Error messages could be reported upon creation of new query or opening the existing query in Query Designer.

  • 'BExOpenSaveServices-GetNodes:RFC Exception'
  • 'RSOBJS 170 - Serious Error Occurred While Reading History Folder'
  • 'Run-time error "SYNTAX_ERROR" occurred' in Transaction SM21.
  • the type /BIO/APERS_VAR00 is unknown.

Symptom 2.

Following error message could be reported upon execution of Report RSR_MIGRATE_VARIANTS.

  • Variant "xyz" was not migrated. Message no. RSMIGRATEQVARIANT015.

Symptom 3.

Following error message could be reported on saving the variant in BEx Web .

  • Error while executing function module: BICS_PROV_VARIANT_SET_VARIANT.

Symptom 4.

No entries are displayed under History Tab in open save dialog for  Query designer or BEx Analyzer or Web Application Designer .

Symptom 5.

Activating Personalization using Program RS_PERS_ACTIVATE throws below error.

  • Activation of BEx History failed. Message no RS_PERS101.
  • Exception condition "X_MESSAGE" raised.

Symptom 6.

The "Personalize for query" button in RSRT, in "Query variant" option, do not work.
You set this option for one execution, but it is no longer set in the an second one.
