1640066 - Cannot access PAS model after upgrade

Symptom

Errors while accessing a model in Strategy Management Application Server (PAS) after upgrading to Strategy Management 7.5 Support Package 09 (SP09) and above:

  •  In 7.5 SP09 and SP10:
    • "COM005: A recv call Failed during execution of function 63. WINSOCK returned the error code - A WINSOCK error code 0 occurred..." 
    • "Internal Programming Error, File .\pillib\pil_odbo.c, Line ##### ENV010 : An internal programming error has occurred. Please report this condition to your Customer Service Representative."
    • “Could not update security information for Dimension...”

 

  • From 7.5 SP10 HF1:
    • A DAT333 error “Error executing ODBO request”
    • The Mdx command or a VIEW ROWSET command (for meta data requests) that was being executed
    • Any BW MDX/RFC error
    • One or more DATnnn errors that clearly explain what the problem was and possible reasons for the problem
