1640492 - Order by is not pushed down if primary key is non-numeric and a Table Compare exists

Symptom

  • A query with "order by" clause prior to and in conjunction with the table comparison, using comparison method "sorted input", causes changes in the optimized sql, resulting losing the "order by" clause in the sql statements for both the read and the comparison table read. If the input primary key is not of a numeric type.
  • Impact the order by is not pushed down to the database and will be done on the engine.
