Symptom

When previewing model in Xcelsius, error message "The model you are loading contains components that are not on your version of Xcelsius. These components and their features will not be loaded and the model may not function as intended.  The following Add-On components are not installed:   com.sap.businessobjects.xcelsius.sdk.sample.simplelinechart.SimpleLineChartAddOn  .  For furhter assistance, contact the model creator."

Environment

Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 3

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Install Xcelsius 2008 AddOn
  2. Create XLF model using AddOn
  3. Share model with another user, without the AddOn

Cause

Xcelsius AddOn has not been installed

Resolution

Install Xcelsius AddOn
