Symptom

  • You create a Web Intelligence report that uses objects from 2 individual BEx queries. This generates 2 data providers with common objects, including one or more hierarchies.
  • You merge 2 hierarchies common to these 2 BEx queries.
  • You obtain #SYNTAX in the column when you create a table using the merged hierarchy.
  • You refer to SAP Note 1623921 as it describes a similar behaviour, but it doesn't help.
