Symptom
This Knowledge Base summarizes general recommendations for tracing SAP Business Objects products and should be used along with other KBs describing steps to enable tracing of particular product parts
Following are common issues with the log files captured for troubleshooting, thus causing extra delay when additional communication and re-tracing with a proper workflow is required:
- Incomplete logs containing only errors and assertions
- Too much activity in the logs, which makes it difficult to narrow down a specific workflow
- Log files only - logs itself are not sufficient, other information is needed to navigate and understand the logs (timestamp, time zone, user ID, document ID, error, workflow, etc)
