Symptom

  • When trying to browse metadata for a Teradata database via the projectworkspace, the Teradata connection crawls.
  • The al_engine.exe process is running at 50% of CPU.
  • After waiting for an extensive period of time all of the tables are still not returned.
  • It seems that every single table from each and every database is being loaded.
