1651521 - Error: 'Failed to execute query: com.sap.sl.parameter.impl.IntervalAnswerImpl cannot be cast to com.sap.sl.parameter.SingleValueAnswer' when creating a report from Crystal Reports for Enterprise

• Cannot create reports
• Error: 'Failed to execute query: com.sap.sl.parameter.impl.IntervalAnswerImpl cannot be cast to com.sap.sl.parameter.SingleValueAnswer'. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem.      

- Create a BW query
- In the 'Characteristic Restrictions' area of the query, create a variable such a characteristic variable
- Create a text variable customer exit
- The text variable customer exit should use an ABAP code to retrieve the value from the characteristic variable
- In the Rows or Columns area, add a key figure
- In the key figure properties, go to 'General' tab and add a text variable customer exit to the description such as 'Keyfigure_Name &TextvariableCustExit'
- Create a new report against the query from CRforEnt

The issue has been identified and tracked under bug ID ADAPT01592540

• The bug has been fixed in Feature Pack (FP) 3 for CRforEnt 4.0.
• FP3 is planned to be released in the first quarter of 2012.
