Getting Grey Background for an image when printing a PDF generated using Crystal Reports Designer

Environment

Crystal Reports 2008 (All Versions)

Reproducing the Issue

1. Create a Crystal Report with an image.
2. Export it to PDF format.
3. Print this PDF document on black-white printer.

Resolution

Enable the following option in Crystal Reports:

  1. Open Crystal Report designer, select File menu.
  2. Select Report Options
  3. Check “Retain Original Image Color Depth”
