Symptom

  • Process chains are descheduled or process chain processes terminate with RSBK257 and RSBK254.
  • The detail log of the RSBK254 process error states:
    • "The process chain used to start the request was intentionally stopped by the user or by the after-import handling of a transport with new BI Content objects."
  • Table RSPCKILL contains

LOGID

 USER TO_BE_KILLED
<Process Chain Log ID> <ID> X
  • DIR_HOME /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nn>/work  contains a file RSPC_DELETING_JOBS.TRC which contains:
    • <Process Chain Log ID> <TIMESTAMP> <ID>  RFC  R
    • This trace indicates the job was terminated via RFC by the user <ID>.
