Symptom

  • Cannot restart the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA).
  • Cannot restart the SIA even though all the SAP Business Objects processes have been stopped.
  • Most of the SAP Business Objects processes keep running even though the SIA was stopped.
  • In the Event viewer, the following error is observed: Faulting application name: sia.exe, version: 2.0.1.0, time stamp: 0x450009e6
    Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb3b, Exception code: 0xc0000005, Fault offset: 0x00067021
