Symptom

  • Explorer allows to access only 1 information space at a time
  • Upon accessing a new information space, the following error is thrown
  • Error: D:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Data\Polestar\index\XXXXX
    (Servername) .PolestarExploration\Published\ExplorationIndexes\XXXXXX---XXXX(File ID/Number)\2011-12-13_11.38.11.111\ExplorationSpace
    Descriptor (The system cannot find the file specified)
  • Reindexing the information space doesnt fix the issue
  • Multiple Explorer master servers are running on the deployment
