1666091 - Failed to Connect the Database (MOB20005)

Symptom

  • While running the Mobile configuration tool with mixed mode, the following error is thrown while testing the database connection:
    Failed to Connect the Database (MOB20005)
  • The BOMOBILE user has full rights on the BOMOBILE database.
  • Trying with the default SA user also throws the same error.
  • Able to ping and telnet to the database server from the Mobile server. There are no firewalls involved. Nslookup works fine.
  • Password hashing is not enabled.
