Symptom

Getting an error: "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in crw32.exe [756]" while exporting Cross tab crystal report to MS Excel

Environment

Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 1, Service Pack2, Service Pack3

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Crystal Report with Cross tab
  2. Use more than 102 summary fields in cross tab for virtual pages to be created
  3. Refresh and export in excel format.

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT01496327

Resolution

This issue has been addressed by Service Pack 4
