Symptom

While exporting a Crystal Report to text format, the report that have the section option New Page Before or New Page After, get the error message:"Failed to Export"

Environment

Crystal Reports 2008 SP2, SP3, Fix Pack 3.1,Fix Pack 3.2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Crystal Reports with multiple Report Footer sections(At least 2)
  2. Add one subreport per Report Footer section
  3. Check the option "New Page After" for each Report Footer sections
  4. Export the report to Text format

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT01489309

Resolution

This issue has been addressed by Service Pack 4
