Symptom

  • Attempting to open a Web Intelligence (WebI) document as PDF requests a username and password but doesn't accept any or returns a blank screen
  • Http tracing shows http 401 (authentication) errors (e.g. via fiddler/http watch) for the URL http://<sharepoint>:<port>/_vti_bin/AnalyticalReporting/ReportEngine.svc/document/<docid>?format=pdf
