1672336 - Clarification of SPM "Prerequisites"

Symptom

Spend Performance Management Release Information Notes and Service Pack release notes all contain a "Reasons and Prerequisites" section defining the "Recommended Pre-Requisite" for that release.

If a later NW SPS is already available, does the recommendation mean that at least the prerequisite NW SP can be installed or is the recommendation that exactly the SP level of the prequisite has to be installed?

If an earlier NW SPS is already installed, does the customer have to upgrade to the NW SPS stated in the "Recommended Prerequisites"?

SAP Spend Performance Management (SPM) 3.0)

 

Prerequisites for SPM 2.1 releases are:

Full Installation of the SSAUI (non-ABAP) and ANAXSA, OPMFND (ABAP) components.
Pre-Requisites: NW 7.0 SP 24; BW/BI SP 26; BI CONTENT 704 SP 10.
Or
NW 7.0 Eph1 SP 9; BW/BI SP 9; BI CONTENT 704 SP10
OR
NW 7.0 Eph2 SP 8; BW/BW SP 8; BI CONTENT 704 SP10

Prerequisites for SPM 3.0 releases are:

Full Installation of the POASBC-BUINW, SSAUI, OPMSHARED (non-ABAP) and POASBC, ANAXSA, OPMFND (ABAP) components.
Pre-Requisites:

  • Alternative 1: NW Java 7.3 SP 02; NW ABAP/BW 702 SP 03; BI CONTENT 704 SP 05 or BI CONTENT 705 SP 03
  • Alternative 2: NW Java 7.3 SP 02; NW ABAP/BW 730 SP 02; BI CONTENT 735 SP 01


Note: Required Usage type for NW Java 7.3 is Composition Platform for new installations or BI-Java for upgrade scenarios from v2.1
