Crystal Reports two-series bar chart missing bars

Environment

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 3

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a report using the Order table of the XTREME sample database.
  2. Create "Month" formula": monthname(month({Orders.Order Date})).
  3. Create "Year" formula: year({Orders.Order Date}).
  4. Insert a Bar chart.
  5. Add Month formula to "On change of".
  6. Sort Month in Specified Order.
  7. Add Year formula to "On change of".
  8. Sort Year in specified order.
  9. Add Sum of Orders.Order Amount to Show values.
  10. Observe the behavior
