How to Add a New Units of Measure for Quantities

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Work Center Business Configuration.
2. Go to the View Implementation Projects.
3. Select Show All Open Projects.
4. Select the relevant project and click on the Open Activity List button.
5. Go to the Fine Tune phase.
6. Show All Activities and find for Quantities and Units of Measure.
7. Select the Activity Quantities and Units of Measure and click on Open button.
8. Click on the link Create and Maintain Trading Units/Create and Maintain Physical Units(based on your requirement).
9. Click on the Add Row button.
10. Fill in the following fields: Unit, UoM Symbol , Description and Reference UoM(for a Physical Unit).
11. And then set Activation status to Released.
12. Click on Save.

Note:

The field Unit must start with letter ‘Z’.

Only UoM with the Status Released will be shown on the Interface.
Any New Physical UoM that you create must reference another predefined Physical UoM.
