1676551 - BI4.0: Error: Database Error: ORA-000936: Missing Expression. (IES 10901) while vaildating the custom SQL query in Web Intelligence

Symptom

  • In Web Intelligence (Webi) while using the Validate button for a custom query it shows following error for queries that contain 'N' in prompt syntax:
    • Database Error: ORA-000936: Missing Expression. (IES 10901)
  • For SQL that contains an "Equal to" (Mono) type prompt syntax, a similar error is thrown:
    • Database error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error (comma) in query expression ‘table.field = “,’PROMPT”..(IES 10901)
