Symptom

  • Schedule of Crystal reports fails with error "Failed to open the connection. ~tmpxxxxxxxxx.rpt".
  • View and View-on-Demand are working fine, from both Crystal client and BI Launch Pad.
  • crlogger logs (as per KBA 1653533 attached) shown errors such as "Failed to look up the DSN. ini file path=/home/crystal/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/odbc.ini,DSN=PRODX,key name=Driver" and "Error 31837 (../../src/data/queryenghelp.cpp, 554): Failed to open the connection.:  1
