Symptom
During the execution of the managed system configuration for JAVA systems, the step 'Create Users' fails with the following errors:
User status cannot be checked |
Remote error: Connection to P4 port of managed system failed |
In the details of the above error message you may see the error message “404 Not Found".
Also, in the SMD Agent log file SMDAgentApplication.log of the managed system the following error is found:
Jan 17, 2012 3:09:45 PM [Thread[Thread-21,5,main] ] Error [Setup]Connection to P4 port of managed system failed [EXCEPTION] |
Another symptom is the following error that is shown in the log details:
No P4 connection could be established to XXX from <hostname> P4 Connection to XXX failed (More details in SMDAgentApplication.log of agent <hostname>) Please check the value of HTTP Message Server port (Default: 81+SCS Instance Number) entered in step 'Enter System Parameters' ; nested exception is: java.io.IOException: Can't get Socket. Reason:Connection refused(cause=java.io.IOException Can't get Socket. Reason:Connection refused) |
