Symptom
When trying to select Oracle as the CMS repository during the BI installation or upgrade on Linux machine, the following error is returned:
- You cannot proceed because the following has failed validation: Database access error.Cause Loading shared object failed. First tried to load library clntsh and failed because of error: [clntsh:cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]. Second tried to load library libclntsh.so and failed because of error: [libclntsh.so:cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory].
Cannot Verify Database login information. [INS00104]
Or - Database access error. Reason Loading shared object failed. First tried to load library clntsh and failed because of error: [clntsh:cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]. Second tried to load library libclntsh.so and failed because of error: [libclntsh.so:cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]. (FWB 00090)
The system cannot verify the database logon information. Would you like to correct it?
