1683385 - Microsoft SQL Server: Manually exporting and importing DB tables

Symptom

  • You want to export a single table from a Microsoft SQL Server database for testing purpose.
  • You want to export a single table from a Microsoft SQL Server database and then import it again into another database for testing purpose.

Please note that it is not supported by SAP to export a table from the database of one SAP system and import it into the database of another SAP system to rule out certain problems like e.g. inconsistencies. As the entries of a database table are in almost all cases related to entries of other tables, exporting and importing a single table will very likely lead to inconsistent data from the application point of view! For this reason such an action must not be carried out unless SAP Product Technical support explicitly instructs the customers do so.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
